Gandhi Jayanti Celebration at Auxilium Primary School, Pansora
On 1st October 2025, Auxilium Primary School, Pansora, joyfully celebrated Gandhi Jayanti, honouring the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The programme began with a meaningful prayer service, invoking peace and unity in the spirit of Gandhiji’s values. The students were then shown a video on the life of Mahatma Gandhi, which highlighted his simplicity, truthfulness, and commitment to nonviolence. The celebration also included a speech and a song dedicated to Gandhiji, inspiring the young learners to follow his ideals in their daily lives.
A special part of the programme was the re-enactment of the historic Dandi March. Through a video presentation and explanation, the students learned about the Salt Satyagraha and its importance in India’s freedom struggle. Following this, the children themselves participated in a symbolic March, imitating the Dandi March, and dramatized the breaking of the Salt Law by pronouncing the very words of Gandhiji. This powerful moment brought history alive, enabling the students to relive the great struggle for freedom in a simple yet impactful way. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotism and respect for the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi.
