From Language to Mission: Sr. Judy’s Experience at the Gujarati Intensive Course
A total of nine participants Sisters, Fathers, and Brothers took part in the course with enthusiasm and commitment. Over the two months, they did not simply learn the language; they experienced Gujarati as a bridge of communion, a tool for deeper connection with people, and a pathway to serve the mission more effectively. Among the participants was Sr. Judy Gaikwad from the Jag Prakash Kanya Chatralay, Pansora community. With openness and dedication, she enriched herself through this experience, equipping her heart and mind to engage more meaningfully with the people she serves. Her participation reflects a step forward in preparing to carry out the mission with greater effectiveness and pastoral sensitivity. The course began on 16th June and concluded on 14th August with a solemn Eucharistic celebration, followed by a short yet heartfelt program that showcased the progress made. These final moments captured the gratitude, growth, and unity experienced by all who took part.
The Gujarati Intensive Course truly became a time of learning, sharing, and renewal. It left every participant — including Sr. Judy — enriched with new skills, deeper cultural understanding, and a renewed zeal to continue the mission with love, dedication, and greater effectiveness.
