AYM Inauguration 2026
On 29th July 2026, the Auxilium Youth Movement
(AYM) was formally inaugurated with a meaningful prayer service, marking the
beginning of another year of faith, leadership, and service. The celebration
brought together students and the Salesian community in an atmosphere of prayer
and joy. Ten new members from Classes VIII to X were warmly welcomed into the
movement, increasing the total membership to 20 enthusiastic young people. The
highlight of the programme was the Scarf Ceremony, during which each new member
received the AYM scarf as a symbol of their commitment to live the values of
the Gospel and the Salesian spirit by serving God, the young, and society.
Hiral Rathod of Class X was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the
group as the new AYM leader. The members then proudly recited the AYM pledge
and presented a lively anthem dance, expressing their
enthusiasm to begin a new
journey of faith, friendship, and responsible leadership.
The programme concluded with an inspiring message
by Sr. Maria Macwan, who shared the story of the bamboo tree to illustrate the
importance of building a strong foundation in life. She explained that just as
the bamboo spends years developing deep roots before growing tall, young people
must strengthen themselves through prayer, faith, discipline, good values, and
service. She reminded the AYM members that true leadership is rooted in
humility, commitment, and a willingness to serve others.
The inauguration ended on a joyful and hopeful
note as the members renewed their commitment to live the ideals of the Auxilium
Youth Movement. Inspired by the Salesian values of Don Bosco and Mother
Mazzarello, they began their journey with enthusiasm, determined to grow as
faith-filled, responsible, and compassionate young leaders who make a positive
difference in society.
