A Joyful Celebration of the Canonization of St. Maria Troncatti at Pansora

Jag Prakash Kanya Chatralaya joyfully celebrated the Canonization of St. Maria Troncatti on 28th November 2025, marking a moment of immense honour, grace, and thanksgiving for the entire community. The celebration began with a solemn Holy Eucharist celebrated by Rev. Fr. Ashwin Macwan, along with the concelebrant priests. The Mass was offered in gratitude to God for the gift of St. Maria Troncatti to the Church—one who dedicated her entire life to the service of the poor, especially the tribal communities. In his simple yet profound homily, Fr. Ashwin beautifully portrayed St. Maria as a loving mother, nurse, counsellor, and peacemaker, who touched countless lives through her gentleness and selfless service, encouraging everyone to follow her example by being kind, patient, helpful, and forgiving in daily life.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, the Junior hostel girls warmly welcomed the guests and presented a short yet meaningful cultural programme highlighting the life and virtues of St. Maria Troncatti. The celebration continued with a festive community lunch, where all shared a meal in an atmosphere of joy, fellowship, and togetherness. The presence of the relatives of the Sisters, past pupils, and well-wishers added special warmth and meaning to the occasion, reflecting the deep bond, affection, and sense of belonging they share with the Chatralaya community.

The celebration left everyone deeply inspired by the powerful message of St. Maria Troncatti—to love without limits, serve the needy with dedication, and forgive with a generous heart. As a meaningful extension of the celebration, a Quiz on the life of St. Maria Troncatti was organised on the following day for the school children and Junior hostel girls separately, using the Kahoot App. This effective use of digital media created an engaging and joyful learning experience, encouraging active participation and helping the children know the saint more closely, thus showing how modern technology can become a valuable tool for faith formation and value-based education.
