Diwali: A Celebration of Light and Love

The festival of lights, Diwali, was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in Pansora, bringing together the tuition children, school students, and boarding children in a spirit of unity and festivity. The celebrations beautifully combined prayer, creativity, and togetherness, spreading light not only around but also within every heart.


The tuition children of Pansora village celebrated Diwali on the 15th and 16th of October with immense excitement and joy. They participated in various creative activities that captured the true essence of the festival. The children designed beautiful rangoli patterns using natural materials like flowers and leaves, made colourful greeting cards, and decorated diyas with glitter and bright hues. The classrooms sparkled with light and laughter, and through these activities, the children learned teamwork, creativity, and appreciation for India’s rich cultural traditions.

In the Auxilium Primary School, the Diwali celebration began with a meaningful prayer moment, invoking God’s blessings for light, peace, and prosperity on 15th October. The students actively participated in a variety of competitions, class-wise Rangoli decoration with natural materials
 Class wise competitions like fancy dress for std-I and II, diya decoration for std III and IV, lantern making for std-V and VI. The entire school came alive with festive colours, the glow of diyas, and the excitement of celebration. The event not only brought joy to the students but also encouraged them to express their talents and understand the deeper message of Diwali  the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.


The boarding children too marked the festival with a special celebration filled with devotion and joy on 15th October. The program began with a meaningful prayer service, followed by lively dances and melodious songs that reflected the spirit of Diwali. The evening was full of warmth, laughter, and togetherness as the children expressed gratitude to God for His blessings and celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm. Their performances and cheerful participation made the occasion truly memorable and filled the atmosphere with festive cheer.

The Diwali celebrations at Pansora beautifully reflected unity, creativity, and joy. Glowing diyas, heartfelt prayers, and happy faces made it a truly radiant and memorable festival for all.

Women’s Federation Strengthening Workshop at Dakor

  On 18th and 19th August 2025 , a two-day Women’s Federation Strengthening Workshop was held at Dakor , attended by 25 women along with staff, sisters, and the SHG women from Jag Prakash Kanya Chatralay, Pansora . The workshop aimed to train women on the concept and functioning of federations, motivate them to work together, and empower them to take collective action for village development. On the first day, Sr. Shaila D’Monte and the social workers led sessions on the importance of federations, which helped the women gain clarity and unity of purpose. The second day began with a prayer led by the Pansora girls, followed by sharing of reflections and inspiring examples from Africa on how women solve problems collectively.   On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, October 2 , the children of the three tuition classes run by Jag Prakash Kanya Chatralay, Pansora organized a spirited cleanliness rally in Ardi village . Starting from the main road, the children enthusiastically walked through the village, spreading awareness on the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. Their active participation created a vibrant atmosphere and inspired the villagers to reflect on Gandhi’s vision of a clean and healthy society.
