Pansora: Updates from the Mission Field

Jag Prakash Kanya Chatralay, Pansora, joyfully celebrated its first-ever Grandparents Day on 26th July, on the Feast of Saints Joachim and Anne , the grandparents of Jesus. The event welcomed around 50 grandparents from seven surrounding villages , where the Chatralay runs tuition classes for children. The children from these tuition classes prepared a heartfelt cultural programme of songs, dances, and skits, expressing deep love and gratitude. A symbolic eco-friendly welcome included the eldest grandparents watering a plant , representing their nurturing role, while others added leaves to a symbolic tree chart, highlighting their ongoing impact on family life.  Sr. Maria Macwan addressed the gathering, honouring grandparents as pillars of wisdom and love, and encouraging children to cherish their presence and sacrifices. Jag Prakash Kanya Chatralay had the joy of welcoming Bishop Ratna Swami for his official visit, a day filled with blessings and inspiration. The bishop was received with a heartfelt welcome dance  with the touching words “You are the Shepherd…” and then they sung welcome song, setting the tone for the da  Bishop Ratna Swami then met the junior hostel girls , spending time listening to them and encouraging them with an inspiring story. He reminded them to dream big, set higher goals, and work hard to achieve them, while staying rooted in faith and good values. His words left the girls motivated and full of hope for their future. Following this, the bishop met with the sisters of the community , sharing about the life and mission of the community. The bishop encouraged us to continue their dedicated service with joy and perseverance.
